Have you been taught to “be nice”?
Most of us are I guess. And things that are taught that early in life often stick. Who would not want to be nice?
Well, lets examine why we have been told to “be nice”.
As always: who profits? (follow the money)
Almost without exception the person who tells, or admonishes us, to “be nice”. While we are following our natural impulse our caretaker (or opponent) does not like what we are doing and the ‘be nice’ is an attempt to have us change our behaviour to something presumably more to their liking.
Furthermore the call to ‘be nice’ is free of charge to the issuer. Our behaviour was chosen because we expected an outcome that would benefit us.
